Your records.
Your control.

Renuary is a local-first subscription, renewal and prepaid-credit tracker. This policy explains the app and this public website.

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Records on your device

The app stores the records you enter on your device: subscriptions, costs, currencies, dates, balance check-ins, categories, family-member names, payment labels, optional last four card digits and notes. You do not create a Renuary account. We do not run a Renuary server that collects those records. The local database is not separately encrypted by Renuary; device security and operating-system backup settings also affect how it is protected and retained.

Keep passwords and full payment-card details out of notes. Renuary is a tracker, not a password manager, bank connection or payment processor.

Photos and icons

If you choose a family photo or a service icon, the app normally processes it into a small square image and stores a local copy. If processing fails, the original file can be retained, including any embedded metadata. The image picker accesses the file you select. Record and image transfer has been verified in the newer native review builds. Full release testing is still in progress; keep an independent copy of important images.

Optional Google Drive sync

Google Drive sync is optional. Newer native review builds support Google sign-in and record/image transfer; the original store beta predates this setup. Local tracking does not require Google sign-in.

When you enable sync, Renuary uses Google sign-in and the limited drive.file permission to manage files it creates or that you explicitly make available to it. It does not request unrestricted access to every file in your Drive. Records and associated images are stored in a Renuary Data folder in your Google Drive, rather than on a Renuary-operated server.

When you choose to share a household folder, its contents are available to the people you authorise through Google Drive. Sharing involves their email address and Google’s sharing service. Only share a folder with people you trust.

Google account information and Google user data are used to provide sign-in, sync and the sharing you request. Native Google sign-in can retain session credentials in device storage; these are separate from the app’s temporary in-memory token cache. We do not sell that data, use it for advertising or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Renuary’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

The bundled Google sign-in SDK declares data use for functionality and analytics in its privacy manifest. Its declarations include contact information, identifiers, coarse location, usage and other data. Those vendor declarations do not establish that every category is collected in every session; the release privacy disclosures must account for the SDK as well as Renuary’s own code. See Google’s privacy policy.

Exchange rates

When currency conversion needs a current rate and the device is online, Renuary can request rates from Frankfurter. The request includes the currency codes being converted, not your amounts, record names or household details. Like any internet service, the provider receives connection information such as your IP address. Frankfurter states that its public service runs behind Cloudflare, which collects basic information for analytics; see the provider’s privacy FAQ. Currency-rate requests can occur even when Drive sync is off. Rates are cached locally and displayed with their date.

Notifications and purchases

On supported native builds, reminders use your device’s local notification system and its permissions. A home-screen widget, where installed, reads a small summary from shared local device storage. Reminder and widget content can be visible on your lock or home screen. Neither is a website feature.

Public purchases are not available from this website. The optional one-time mobile upgrade uses the relevant app store. Product configuration is complete, but public sales and purchase/restore verification are still pending. The store handles payment; Renuary does not receive your full card details. The app uses store product and transaction information to determine whether unlimited access is available and retains an entitlement preference locally, separately from household sync. Store testing and distribution are also subject to Apple’s or Google’s own privacy policies.

This website

This is a static information website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We have not added analytics, advertising, tracking scripts, cookies or contact forms. Fonts and images are served from this website. Cloudflare may process normal request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the website under its privacy policy. This website cannot read records stored in the Renuary app.

If you contact support

If you email renuary@elks.co, we receive your address and anything you include, and use it to respond and investigate your request. Please send only the details needed and remove personal information from screenshots. Support correspondence is kept as needed to handle the request and any necessary follow-up. You can ask us to delete it.

Deleting data and disconnecting

Deleting a record removes its contents from the active record and retains a minimal deletion marker so sync can avoid bringing it back. The latest development build also removes images owned by deleted records locally and moves their Drive copies to recoverable Trash on a successful sync. Older builds can retain or re-upload images; other household members and device or cloud backups may keep copies. This cleanup still needs real-device and multi-device release verification. Clearing app storage removes local data, subject to any device backups; it does not delete separate Google Drive copies.

In the latest development build, turning sync off stops sync, resets its connection and asks the native Google SDK to sign out on this device. If sign-out fails, the app offers retry. It does not revoke Google permission or delete Drive files. Earlier beta builds only stopped sync. If you have used sync, you can revoke Renuary’s access in your Google Account and separately manage or delete the Renuary Data folder in Google Drive, including its trash and sharing permissions. Disconnect sync on your devices before clearing data if you want to avoid later re-importing an existing copy.
